Apply as a mentor

Thank you for thinking about this. Every mentee who applies has asked to be matched with someone 50 or over, LGBTQ+ like them. You've already lived through the years they're in now, and that's most of what you'd bring.

The form takes about ten minutes.

What we ask of you

  • Six months at least. Most pairs keep going after that.
  • Meeting once or twice a month. Coffee, a walk, a meal, whatever suits the two of you.
  • A two-hour orientation before you meet your match. We'll find a time with you.
  • Workshops every three months, if you want them. They're open to everyone in the program and cover health-care proxies and wills, housing, coming out later in life, and HIV across generations.
  • Regular check-ins with a coordinator. They're short, and you set the pace.

Come as you are, with whatever life you've had. Showing up is what counts.
